Where Was It? is a free game offered by Nicolas Meuwly. Play it for your own enjoyment; please don't scrape the site, hammer its servers or use it to spoil the daily puzzle for others.

Content and trademarks

Clues refer to films, series, books, music and anime, and to the places linked to them. Where Was It? is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any studio, label, publisher or rights holder mentioned. All trademarks and titles belong to their owners and are used only to identify the works.

Place photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences, credited next to each photo. Facts about works and places come in part from Wikidata (CC0). Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
